Our wear and corrosion-resistant coatings prevents
the attack of down-hole chemicals such as CaCl and HCI. By sealing the
porosity, the chemicals can't penetrate the surface. These coatings
also protect against the wear of the seal areas caused by the abrasive
drilling mud. In addition, they prevent galling caused by similar
materials rubbing against themselves which causes them to gall and
stick. Our Tech 28E also allows for electrical resistivity
Applications include down-hole tools, mud rotors, pump sleeves, MWD equipment, and various valve components. Typical coating choices: Tech 23, Tech 12, Tech 17, Tech 28E |

Our coatings prevent premature damage to the seals, seal surfaces, and other pump components. Our coatings have lasted longer than the warranty periods our customers offer for pumps, increasing repeat sales. Pumps exposed to petrochemicals, acids, seawater, chlorides, hydrochlorics and cryogenic temperatures have experienced extended life cycles by factors of up to 100 when tested against unprotected pumps. Applications include high pressure chemical injection pumps, reciprocating piston pumps, metering pumps, and centrifugal impeller pumps. Typical coating choices: Tech 23 |

Our wear and corrosion resistant coatings prevent the attack of PVC and CPVC to screws and barrels. By sealing the porosity, the chemicals can't penetrate the surface. Our Tech 17 has outlasted screws with triple chrome plate alone. For more than three years and 12,000,000 cycles, our Tech 23 has shown virtually no wear on barrels. Coatings are also applied to extruder components such as Y-pipe, spider, diffuser cone and pins. The replacement with Bodycote K-Tech coatings can reduce down-time on the extruder by as much as 500%. |

Bodycote K-Tech's wear-resistant coatings prevent high-speed running yarns from cutting into the metal surface of the various guides and rolls these yarns pass over during processing. These coatings also reduce friction that causes fraying of the yarn thus protecting the fiber. Some of the new materials contain corrosive finishes detrimental to the machine components, but the chemical finishes can't penetrate the surface sealed with our coatings.
Typical coating choices: Tech 10, Tech 22, Tech 40
